Start here

Start with whatever is driving you crazy.

You do not need to diagnose it before reaching out. Most technology problems show up as a symptom long before anyone knows the cause.

“Our Wi-Fi works everywhere except where we actually need it.”

Network coverage, equipment, configuration, or interference — I can sort out which.

“I have no idea who controls our domain or website.”

Domain ownership, DNS, Cloudflare, hosting, email, and website access can be untangled and documented.

“We hired someone Monday and they still don't have everything.”

Accounts, licenses, devices, permissions, and a repeatable onboarding process.

“I'm worried somebody could get into our accounts.”

MFA, admin access, device protection, backups, email security, and practical risk reduction.

“Our computers are painfully slow and nobody knows why.”

Troubleshooting, upgrades, replacements, software cleanup, and a plan that makes financial sense.

“Our website looks old, and every change turns into a whole ordeal.”

Modern website rebuilds, hosting, performance, maintenance, analytics, and technical SEO foundations.

That's enough information to start. Send the messy version of the problem. I'll ask the technical questions from there.

Services

The technology your business depends on, under one roof.

AlderGuard stays focused on four connected areas instead of trying to be a full-service marketing agency or a giant enterprise MSP.

How it works

A simpler way to get technology handled.

Step 01

Tell me what's happening.

Email the problem in normal language. Screenshots and context help, but a diagnosis is not required.

Step 02

I figure out what it needs.

We'll narrow down the issue, urgency, access, and whether this is a quick fix or a scoped project.

Step 03

We fix and document it.

The work gets completed with clear expectations and useful documentation instead of mystery changes.

Step 04

I can stay involved.

If ongoing support makes sense, AlderGuard can keep the context and help prevent the next scramble.

The standard

The AlderGuard security baseline.

Security is not a separate pile of jargon. These five fundamentals are considered alongside everyday IT work.

  • Multi-factor authentication on important accountsAdds a second check so a stolen password alone is not enough.
  • Microsoft 365 and admin access configured carefullyReviews who can administer the environment, how access works, and where common exposure exists.
  • Business computers protected and updatedKeeps devices current and uses security tooling appropriate for the environment.
  • Backups reviewed with recovery in mindChecks that important data is covered and that recovery is more than a checkbox.
  • Documentation the business actually keepsRecords systems, vendors, ownership, access, and recovery details instead of relying on one person's memory.

Hands-on work

Not just advice. Real systems, migrations, fixes, and builds.

Examples of the kinds of work AlderGuard can take on without turning every problem into a giant consulting engagement.

domain → DNS → hosting
SSL → deploy → document
legacy cost ↓ complexity ↓

Website migration + infrastructure cleanup

Move an aging site to modern hosting, clean up deployment and DNS, and leave the business with a simpler setup it can actually understand.

Web · Cloudflare · DNS
account → auth → mail flow
licenses → access → devices
find cause → fix → document

Microsoft 365 + account troubleshooting

Work through sign-in, email, permissions, licensing, and user issues methodically instead of bouncing between vendors and guessing.

site → performance → security
domain → email → analytics

Website + digital infrastructure management

Build and maintain the site while also handling the less-visible pieces — hosting, SSL, DNS, Cloudflare, email configuration, and ongoing technical upkeep.

Why AlderGuard exists

Small businesses have an awkward IT problem.

They are too dependent on technology to ignore it, but often too small to justify a full internal IT department. That leaves the owner, office manager, or unofficial “computer person” trying to keep everything together.

I built AlderGuard to be the person you can call before that becomes a crisis. The goal is not to sell the biggest stack of tools possible. It is to understand what the business relies on, fix what is broken, strengthen what is risky, and document the important pieces so they are not trapped in one person's head.

My background spans managed IT support, Microsoft environments, computers, networking, cybersecurity, cloud services, and web infrastructure. That overlap is intentional: for a small business, the laptop, Microsoft account, domain, email, website, Wi-Fi, and backups are all part of the same technology environment.

AlderGuard can handle a focused project or stay involved as the environment grows. Either way, you get direct communication, practical recommendations, and a clear understanding of what happens next.
